12/30/11–I am no longer trading frogs via this website. I still trade via the forum at TouchArcade.

TRADING UPDATE

I am being inundated with demands for frogs. I debated about stopping altogether from sending. But I really don’t want to do that.

But I do have to be more firm.

The ONLY way I can get a frog to you is if you do the following:

1. Friend me on PLUS
— this is important. I can’t always comb through emails hunting for PLUS usernames. If you friend me, you are right there already.

2. Send me an email…NOT A BLOG COMMENT.
–they go to different places and now that people are arranging trades in the blog comments that don’t require frogs from me (which is cool) I am paying far less attention to comments.

3. You don’t have to send me a frog first anymore, although it’s cool if you do. But the two most important things are Friending & email. I cannot guarantee you’ll get your frog if you don’t do it that way.

I enjoy getting other people jazzed about the game. I really like helping folks get the frogs they may be missing.

The frogs I currently send without needing a trade are: Tribus, Lanterna, Glacio & Ludo. (trades are preferred, of course)

I will TRADE other breeds. But please stop sending me ridiculous requests for me to GIVE you my Glass Chroma Veru and Glass Tingo Magus because you “really want them” and it will make you “really happy”. Get serious. ( You know who you are. )

The Glacio Story:

People keep asking about Glacios, what they are and why I don’t send them.  First, what they are:  A frog with a snowflake on it.  Why I don’t send them is a longer story:

1. I sent them to a couple people and their games crashed.  I don’t think  it was the Glacios, but they blamed me.

2.  I send so many Tribii already that I go through stamps like crazy.  I can’t imagine how many stamps it would take to keep up with everyone who wants Glacios.

and most importantly…..

3.  EVERYONE WILL GET ONE FREE IN A FEW DAYS FROM THE GAME.  The glacios were always supposed to be the Winter Holiday game gift, and were supposed to drop just like the Lanterna did for Halloween.   They were included in the base code of the game, though.  So some people hacked the game to pull out the Lanternae and Glaciae early (before they were scheduled to actually drop) and they made their away around the trade boards. So  yes, some people have them.  But EVERYONE WHO IS NOW PLAYING WILL GET ONE OF THEIR OWN VERY SOON.

This is one of those posts that most of my regular readers (both of them) will write off as my usual nuttiness.

But I need to make it because I’m having trouble updating my posts on the pocket frogs wiki and this is my next go-to place for googleable stuff.

If you are playing Pocket Frogs, I am currently taking requests for ANY type of frogTRIBUS only. I have completed all the in-game breeder challenges and am now working my way through the breeder’s Froggydex. I have access to ALL frog types and colour combinations.* I enjoy the challenge of brewing different breeds. If you would like to trade for any breed, please add me on PLUS and request away!**

(*Yes, I have Lanterna and Tribus frogs AND Chroma markings. And now, thanks to a good trader, Glacio/Glaceo)

UPDATE: A Few Changes, Sadly…

According to wikia.pocketfrogs the Glacios are the product of a hack and so they aren’t counted yet in the official records.Glacio / Glaceo aren’t officially released but some folks have them. I was sent one in exchange for a tribus.  I’ve stopped sending Glacio out because some people were experiencing game crashes once they got it.   I can’t be responsible for messing up someone else’s game.

I’m happy to send frogs to (almost*) anybody. Because I got burned on a lot of “trades” last weekend, I’ve gotten a bit more strict. What I ask is:

1. Friend me on Plus (mycropht)

2. Send me one frog of any breed & colour combo level 5 or above for each frog you would like from me.

3. Send me an email (address is on Plus) letting me know which frog(s) you need.  The Tribus frogs I’m sending are Glass.Chroma.Tribus.

I realise this seems harsh, but I spent $$$(real)  on stamps and a lot of time over the weekend sending frogs to people only to get nothing back from most of the requesters. In some cases I sent frogs worth 10,000+ coins. Many of those people didn’t even say “thank you”!

I really like to help people, but I also dislike being taken advantage of. Not that people intend to. I think a lot of them just really want that Tribus, bit once they get it they forget how valuable it was to them.

UPDATE #2

–I don’t send Challenge frogs as a rule.   If you need a certain type of frog to start off your breeding, I’ll gladly send it to you AS LONG AS YOU”VE UNLOCKED IT.  But please don’t ask me to send things like “White Bruna Bovis” so that you can complete the challenge.  I’ll send you a Bovis, but as I’m trying to breed through the Froggydex I don’t want to spend my breeding time re-creating frogs I’ve already made.   (The Tribii are the one exception.  I’ve bred so many Glass Chromo Tribus frogs I think my game my collapse! 🙂 )

–I don’t send frogs you haven’t unlocked yet.   Please don’t send me an email asking for a level 16 frog if you are only on level 9.   Unlocking frogs is part of the fun of the game.

*Oh, and by the way…if you send me an email like some of the ones I’ve gotten that say “Send me a tribus.  My login is XXXXXX” you are not likely to get a fast response.   “Please” and “thank you” go a long way with me.
