I’ve been commissioned to write a children’s book†. So that’s how I’m spending my days. Big Orange Michael, on the other hand, is making Big Orange Plans to do a lot of reading this summer. He’s included one of my all-time favourite books–Neal Stephenson’s Cryptonomicon— on his reading list.
Any book that contains the phrase “Alan’s penis scheme” is good reading, people.
†For my sister’s Kindergarten classes, so it isn’t as big a deal as it sounds.
Weren’t you supposed to have a job interview today? I hope the kindergardeners weren’t too tough!
Seriously, if it was today, I hope it goes/went well.
I take offense at that! My kindergarteners ARE a big deal!
🙂
The book is fantastic and creative. I told you to put your name on it so no one steals it. You may scoff at “kiddie lit,” but I bet you could get a children’s book published easily. You are so talented and creative, and you get what kids like.
Thanks a million!
Thanks for the shout out. 🙂
And I’ve read Snow Crash and other older Stephenson books. And I always feel like I’m missing the boat by not having read his more recent books–evne though they could be used as doorstops should I not like them.
