"Read, read, read. Read everything -- trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it.
Then write. If it's good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out of the window."

1974! Cheezy and fun!
Question. On the album cover at the beginning of this video, it lists “Billy Don’t Be A Hero,” as one of their hits.
I checked my music bible (Whitburn) and it said it was a hit for Bo Donalson and the Heywoods, which also reached #1 in 1974.
Do you know when Paper Chase covered it?
And, I had no idea that was kazoos at the na nan na parts. I always thought it was sax. My bad.
Fun song…perfect for FGF!
more drama. more lovers.
Hey, I know the guy who wrote that song! He also wrote “Billy Don’t Be a Hero,” which was originally recorded by Paper Lace and was a hit for them in the UK.
