THIS IS ONLY FOR FOLKS WHOVE READ THE BOOKS AND OR DON’T MIND SPOILERS.
Watching the last few minutes of True Blood before the show starts reminds me of just how much that show lacks in plot and theming in comparison.
Is Treme any good?
I hear tonight’s will be a lot about the Wall. I’m psyched. These credits are so captivating. I want a long vid file of just each week’s opening credits to watch during a self-hypnosis session. I smell a project coming on…
Eeriee…Ned walking in on Jaime at the throne. Just like the end of the war.
Ugh. Baelish. One of my least favourite characters played by an actor who irks me. Good casting.
How long will it be before Renly’s homosexuality is made apparent? I hope sooner rather than later.
I love reading blogs where people are insisting that they cant read the books yet. They think Ned is the hero of the show. I would LOVE to be a fly on their walls in a couple of weeks.
Yay! Old Nan! I love Old Nan; she’s the character i always want to know more about and hear more from. I kind of think of myself as Old Nan, knotting and weaving stories.
“Back-Alley Sally” WILL work its way into my vocabulary. Trust.
I have no idea why I’m so captivated by the goings on at the Wall, but i am. I so hope for the day that Tyrion takes the Black. Tyrion at the Wall would be my dream come true.
This episode has been fine, but we seem to be spending a long time putting pieces into place. That structure works fine for the books, but reading a book takes a different kind of patience. I fear geeatly the writers will take the True Blood route of putting a gotcha! Moment at the end of each episode but filling the rest of the hour with slower paced chit chat. I fear folks who arent rabid fans of the books may not stick with it if the pacing doesnt get a bit less largo, a bit more stacatto.
