I’ll freely admit that I’ve fallen into the bad habit of not writing every day. The whole point of having a blog (for me) was to give me the discipline of writing every day, writing truthfully and having a record of my thoughts and feelings about current events. I did pretty well there for about three years and then…whammo. I stopped doing it. Part of me wants to ‘renew my committment’, but then another part of me doesn’t want to do that right this second because renewing committments at the New Year is about as cliche’d as an episode of Murder, She Wrote.
I mention Murder, She Wrote because we got a TiVo HD XL as our mutual Christmas present, partly because that would enable us to stream movies from Netflix to our TiVo. Yet as I browse the options available to us (Over 12,000 movies!!!) I realise that most of the offerings are things like all however-many seasons of Murder, She Wrote there are out there. And, oh yeah, Airwolf. Don’t get me wrong–I still think it’s way cool and the geek part of me is just loving it. But I still don’t see myself watching Airwolf.
Since I didn’t really blog much to speak of during December I missed my chance to write a “best movies/books/songs/tv shows of 2008″ post. I missed my chance to write about how Christmas started as a pagan holiday (seriously–who doesn’t know that by now?) and I missed my chance to ruminate on various current events. I’ll happily let all of that slide, if you’ll forgive me for bringing up the one issue I have to bring up, even though I’m a month late in doing so. That’s coming in the next post, because it needs to be it’s own entry.

We always manage to find SOMETHING worth streaming to our TV set from Netflix. We don’t watch much TV so we have a ton of shows we had yet to see that we’ve been able to watch. I’m currently about halfway through season two of “Dead Like Me,” and TheBoyfriend™ is making his way rather quickly through “Numb3rs.”
That angela lansbury is dangerous…everywhere she goes somebody dies.

Aw crap I just realized that future post was not intended to be a “best movies/books/songs/tv shows of 2008″. I should learn to read. Or not read, I can do that. What’s the other thingy? Ah, comprehend.
