Rheumatologist* to me: Do you use email?
*btw, if you call information looking for Vanderbilt Rheumatology you have to realise that they are spelling it “roomatology” and that is why they can’t find your doctor.

Isn’t roomatology an Americanised morphing of Feng Shui and interior design?
I think down in SoBro they call it “Funky Shui”
DON’T go to Vandy. I know I recommended them at one time, but do NOT see Dr. Howard Fuchs, whom I had recommended to you for arthritis/lupus/etc.
If you *must* see a “roomatologist” there, see Bo Bo Tanner, but stay away from Fuchs. (Unfortunately, Tanner is in with Fuchs)
Because of Fuchs’ misdiagnoses, mistreatment and overall mishandling of me, I’m going to need surgery on my neck.
2 years of him refusing to run an MRI that I kept asking for after I fell, I went and got one and the PT he had me on screwed up my spine really badly because it was the opposite of what he was supposed to have PT do.
We fought several times over this, and one day, out of nowhere, he calls me up and…apologizes? Uh, no. He starts screaming at me and cursing at me because HE screwed up. It was one of the sickest, wildest calls I ever got, and certainly the strangest from a physician.
Oh, and he violated my doctor-patient privacy on several occasions.
Well, I think I’m being clear that you need to stay away from him.
If your appointment is with him, change it. Any doctor that would screw up as badly as he did then make a deranged phone call to his patient is…
well draw your own conclusions.
