I love this day. I love this weekend. I love being born now. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, my hammock waits for me under the Osage Orange tree.
Our neighbours’ Saint Bernards have that “big dog” throaty bark which reminds me of Casey’s friendly greetings over the years. It’s reassuring in a way that reminds me of God. I can’t see them clearly through the fence, but I hear them and know they’re there.
Joy is something to be actively embraced, and next to Grace it’s the greatest gift we have. I’m thrilled with the goodness of God in all situations, and days like today remind me that God’s blessings are for sunny days as well as rain.

I love being born now.
Happy Birthday, I think.
It’s actually tomorrow, which makes this my birthday eve.
Happy birthday eve!!!
Happy birthday today, Kat!!!
So… the Osage Orange doesn’t ever thonk you on the head with those fruits, does it?
