This blog is authored by an INTJ personality.
I know that’s on the “About” page…but I figured after all of the emotive responses to my INTJ 9/11 post I’d better state once again for the record that I am an INTJ.
Yes. That’s correct. One more time.
INTJ.
Are we clear?
What does that mean?
- I’m not the one to cry at your casket. I’m the one who helps your widow plan her finances.
- I’m not the one to be crushed when a game is lost. I’m the one who figures out why we lost that game by analysing the moves and planning the forward strategy for the next game.
- I’m not the one to cry at your wedding. I’m the travel agent who plans your honeymoon.
Honestly, people. I do spreadsheets for FUN. My favourite games involve building empires through strategic economic and defensive planning.
I’ve never ever said that the way any of you observe 9/11 is wrong. I’ve implied (and since then said straight out) that it is predictable. And quite honestly, my reaction and the reactions of others who were not into the public mourning scene of Tuesday was equally predictable.

Okay. This is good to know. Then you are the person to not scream with me at blogger, rather, you’ll be the one to help me figure out what is wrong and how to fix it.
My sidebar moved to the bottom on its own. In fact, if you would look at my post regarding this, and the comment section, you can see what has been done.
I look forward to your INTJ personality being able to be the person who helps me fix this!
(Please note, I’ve notified blogger, tried help line, etc. Left Wing Cracker, who is the only person I know who uses the same Template, had the same thing happen to him, so I don’t know if that a coincidence or the Template)

Didn’t I do that months ago when I told you to move to WordPress? ;-p
Touche!
I’m still in blogger hell!
This is a sign…I just have to figure out what it means…I take a few days off for Rosh Hashanah, and my Template goes crazy on its own. Yep…it’s someone trying to tell me something…just gotta figure out what!
Sharon, have you thought about just sitting up another standardized template for the time being? That way, you can evaluate how you are going to handle it while you have it set up.
I’m sorta with Katherine here. I have been much happier on wordpress.
With that said, I can understand not wanting to change it up.
Okay, speaking the truth in love here
methinks you are actually an ISTJ… because only one of those would call a spreadsheet “fun.” (bleh!)
By the way, a friend of mine sent me this list of obnoxiously-blunt-yet-pretty-much on-the-mark MBTI Type Descriptions which I thought was hilarious. The one for INFP was so me it was scary.
INFP: “Fanatic”
Always searching for an Answer with a capital A. Unlike the INFJ, they are usually open-minded enough to realize the current one isn’t good enough after a few years.
Here’s the INTJ. I’ll let you decide if it’s accurate…
INTJ: “Crackpot”
All facts which don’t fit their theories are just wrong. The more all-encompassing and less applicable to reality the theories, the better.
I was going to post the whole list, but it’s a little long for a comment — unless you want me to.
‘Kay, I’m takin’ my bad INFP self outa here before your I_TJ self decides to smack me hard!
Yeah, my husband the psychology person thinks that the MBTI is “utter bullcrap” because personality is more fluid, etc.
I’d still have to say that I’ve repeatedly tested INTJ, and I think he’s ISTJ.
What Personality Are You?
I got to reading this post over at Kat Coble’s place, and I couldn’t remember what I tested as…Well, I’m officially an ISTJ. I must say – it fits:
When their skills at maintaining the structures that they believe hold up socie…
I’m an ISTJ!!
It fits…It really fits me.
I don’t think they’re crap. I think they are pretty on the mark, when you take the whole thing into consideration.
But when people try to segment it out and speak only of one letter at a time (like I mockingly did above) and pigeon hole people based on a stereotype of the type without taking into account the fact that personalities are on a continuum rather than a toggle switch — those are the people who give the MBTI a bad rep and leave people with a bad taste in their mouths regarding personality stuff.
I’m actually very fascinated with the MBTI and have been for at least a dozen years. I’ve done a lot of study into it and am just now really understanding how the model works. I think it’s incredibly useful in understanding one’s preferences — or that of another (friend, co-worker, etc). Preferences being the key word. Because there’s preferences and then there’s learned behavior — and sometimes we confuse the two….
Anyway, that’s enough of me spouting off.
