I was getting ready to respond to this just about the time the other thread broke Wed. morning, sorry for having let it lie so long now.

Tim, I was both shocked as well as being enormously humbled and touched by your suggestion. Those were all such truly nice things to say and I'm not sure I'm at all deserving of some of them but thank you for your kindness.

My feelings about MT Annoyances are much the same as KC's and I nodded my head reading her choices last night. And (as I have told you personally) it still kind of blows my mind that you're even a regular reader because I think you're just such an exceptionally brilliant writer and I'm just kinda silly old me.

And the other reason I nodded my head when I read Kat's choices last night and some others this morning was because I thought to myself I sure don't belong on anyone's list for "thinking bloggers" because I'm like the most fly by the seat of my pants, off the top of my head blogger I know and pretty much always have been. But as my better half often reminds me, I know my mirror's broken and I don't see myself as others do, so if you appreciate what I write, who am I to question it, you know... so thank you. I'm very humbled and extremely touched.

I'll work on the passing it on on my day off today sometime later (except I think many of my picks have already been picked by others, eek) :)

First of all, Katherine, thank you for your kindness and I sent you an e-mail about how much what you said meant to me.
Slartibartfast, your words were also very kind and sweet and I thank you as well.
Tim, I think you will make Lynn's day with those kind words. She really has become such a wonderful part of the blogosphere and your hit it on the head, her comments are amazing.
I adore her on a personal level, but what you said is completely accurate.

Thanks, Kat; I appreciate your thinking of me.

Would you be offended if I ceded my "Thinking Blogger" nomination to Lynnster?

In my opinion, Lynn is always intelligent, articulate, and spot-on in her writing. Moreover, she (unlike yours truly) avoids knocking other people down with her words.

For some strange reason most of Lynn's keen, accurate commentary appears in the comments portion of other peoples' blogs rather than in her own weblog; not sure why that is. Unless I am missing something, Lynn seems to reserve The Lynnster Zone for more personal reflection (another reason why I enjoy her stuff so much). Nevertheless, there you have it.

Take care,
Tim

There is simply not a better person at explaining her own position without belittling anyone else's than newscoma.

But YOU! Anybody who advocates that I have the right to have a tank has got to be the greatest blogger ever.

I've never left here, not having been touched to think of an issue in a way I've never thought about it before.

Keep it up. I consider myself a student of Koblian thought.

wow. I don't even know what to say except, thanks...I feel surprised and humbled to be included on your list. and amused that the title suggested to you I'd be writing about unicorns...wonder how many other people get that impression??

now I'm off to go pay it forward...that, and write a new post so that anyone who clicks over from here today sees something thoughtful and not the food meme I was going to put up today ;)

Gosh, I certainly agree with you on all your choices, and let me just say I am RIGHT THERE with you on Sarcastro's lessened posting of late. I know he's got a good excuse, poor guy, and I've been trying to hold my tongue and be patient and understanding because I know the new offspring's not letting him get much beauty sleep, but I have been sorely missing his more frequent entries. My daily blogreading has been just a little bit dimmer daily without more of Sarcastro and Rex L. (who, if that one doesn't resurrect himself pretty soon, I really am going to cry for the rest of the year).
